New Year’s Day
Crissy January 1st, 2006
Well, speaking as a parent with a 7 1/2 month old, we stayed up too late last night. Anytime after midnight is just too late knowing that Aiden will be up around 7 am expecting to eat, play and just plain be up. Fortunately, Aiden stayed up until 10 pm (I know what you’re thinking, but he usually goes to bed around 9 pm) and we all slept in until 10:30 this morning. Ah, the joys of sleeping in when you’re not expecting it.
Chris and I did discuss our resolutions for this year. I have decided that in lieu of the usual, “I’m going to try and lose weight” or “eat healthier” I am going to set some goals that will benefit my brain. I’m hoping that if my brain is properly stimulated then it will see no alternate to actually eating healthier and exercising. So, my resolution is to read at least one book a month, learn and teach sign language to my son and blog as much as I can. Chris would like to read more also and add more 3-D images to his portfolio.
Today was a relaxing one, Aiden took his usual 3 naps, Chris worked on a 3-D image and I went out with a group of friends to Bertucci’s for a late lunch (or early dinner, however you look at it). It was great to get out of the house without Aiden. Some of group saw Memoirs of a Geisha before coming to eat, which they enjoyed adding that it was very informative. We chatted about our husbands, the kids and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, specifically Hillary Duff’s “stellar” performance. All in all, a great way to start off the new year. Here’s to 2006!

Yea, I can comment now.
Blog more and reading is good. The funny thing is, I read a couple of blogs yesterday and most of them said they wanted to blog more and/or read more this year. It’s funny how those two almost go hand in hand.
