A Visiting We Go
Another low key day although I did manage to squeeze a yoga/pilates workout into the morning and it felt so good. The rain has not made the first few days of this year very exciting. So, we made our own adventure. We called up our friends Todd and Michelle to see how they were doing with their newborn, Angelina. We offered to bring dinner over if they let us come visit. Well, they were all over that offer, so we ordered and picked up Applebee’s (love the curbside service). Not only was it raining, but it was sleeting as well. Gotta love winter, you just never know what will fall out of the sky.
Angelina was asleep when we arrived, which was nice because Michelle was able to join us at the table for dinner. Aiden occupied himself with some Cheerios for the first time. He played with them for a while before he discovered that he could actually eat them. His face was hysterical as he put one in his mouth and decided that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to eat the strange textured circle. He did eat some of them, but most of the handful was in his lap or on the floor. Todd and Michelle and got a kick out of him and enjoyed having some free time with us.
Angelina finally woke up and since it was time to eat for her, we took that opportunity to say our goodbyes and head home. But not before we had Michelle open the present we brought for Angie. We gave her the cutest dress from The Children’s Place Outlet and Baby’s First Year Journal. I just love giving gifts, especially when I know I have enjoyed having/using whatever it is I am gifting. Anyway, the visit was short and sweet (just like Angelina).
