Busy Day

Today Aiden made the rounds. First we had lunch at daddy’s office and Aiden was “oooooooo”ed and “aaaaaaaa”ed over by all of Chris’s co-workers. He showed off his crawling skills and was laughing and giggling at anyone who played with him. After disrupting the work day it was time for us to head over to the college where I had a meeting.

It was a small and relatively short meeting. Aiden made some great points, babbling in all the right places. He climbed all over Mark, the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. Fortunately,  Mark has kid experience and didn’t mind having Aiden climb up his leg and sit on his lap. After many Cheerios and lots of crawling and climbing, it was time to head out again. On our way to the car we stopped into the offices of some fellow instructors and, of course, became the center of attention once again. Not only did he have the attention of the people’s office we were in, but the many instuructors and students who passed by. Missing a nap made him a snitch cranky, so off to the car we went.

Twenty minutes of napping in the car and then we were waiting for daddy to join us for dinner at Panera Breads. Twenty minutes must have been enough because he downed dinner and was a happy boy. So happy, in fact that we tried our luck at some shopping at Target. We got what we needed and Aiden was trying to let us know that it was close to bedtime and he needed to go home. Home we went and quickly put Aiden to bed. Another busy and successful day.
