Happy 1st Birthday Nathan, Colin and Autumn!

Today was a special day because we celebrated 3 first birthdays today. In the mommies group I am proud to be a part of, 3 of the babies turned one this month. Let’s see, that means something really interesting was going on in the middle of June two years ago. Did I just go there?!? I think I did…back to the clean version…

A HUGE thank you to Coleen who hosted the shin dig. She and her husband were just too wonderful making baked ziti, bread, #1 cookies (yes, the cookies were in the shape of a one), cupcakes and a cake. I bow down to them as I do not have the stamina to prepare that much food. So, Coleen and Jose, thank you, thank you, thank you!

The kids were just too cute. Autumn is walking (good for you sweet pea!) , Colin and Nathan are trying and Matthew is climbling all over everything (Mr. Indiana Jones). Skylar is saying words like, light and bye (The Verbal Queen) and Sophia is just the cutest with those beautiful brown eyes (Watch out boys, blink, blink!).

Aiden had a great time until we kept him up waaaaaaaaay past his nap time. I think most of them were missing a nap at some point. He was a trooper though, right up until I put him down for a group picture. Here’s what he was probably thinking, “Mommy, you know I’m tired and want to go home. Can you please pick me up and let me take my beloved nap.” Here’s what we actually heard, “WWWWWWhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” in varying levels of various pitches.

Two tired parents and a sleepy baby headed off home very happy and very satisfied. Hooray for another successful party, now it’s nap time for everyone.
