Seven, Finally!

Crissy April 26th, 2006

Aiden has been consistently waking up at midnight and 5 am every night for several weeks not and my first thought was, “A tooth must be coming.” When it lasted for weeks on end I resigned myself to the fact that maybe it wasn’t a tooth and this was his new schedule. I decided that I would no longer get up and comfort him and let him cry it out. Well I was wrong…

Today I went snooping around Aiden’s mouth hoping that a tooth would have popped up without my knowledge. Now this does take some skill as he doesn’t like anyone sticking anything in his mouth besides himself. So, I braced myself, and him, and went in. I have been noticing that the gums where his eye teeth will arrive have been more bumpy than usual. So I checked his upper teeth…nothing. I looked on the bottom expecting to see nothing and lo and behold I found the sharp pointy top of his next tooth. Hooray!

This means that number eight will either be arriving in a day or two or a week or two. Which means sleep is going to be a luxury around here. Maybe I should squeeze a nap in now to try and prepare?
