Chris needed to take some of his vacation time so today and tomorrow he is going to be home with us. Hooray! Unfortunately I did not get off from watching Matthew so I would have my hands full with the two kids.
Aiden was thrilled to have his daddy home, as he goes usually goes around the house saying, “Daaa-dy, Da-da, Daaaa-dy!” I love that he loves his daddy so much. They get along and play together so well. Sometimes in the morning when Chris gets him, Aiden doesn’t even want to come to me right away and clutches Chris’s shirt so he won’t put him down. It’s just too cute!
I think having daddy home for these 4 days will be wonderful for all of us as well as difficult once Monday comes. I have a feeling that the two of them are going to have a hard time separating. We shall see.
As for today we gave daddy some time to do his own thing before we vied for his attention. He did go for a walk with us and played at the playground. I’m sure he enjoyed it as much as we did, cause he told me so!

“Good morning! Hello Mommy! Oh, by the way, the reason I was up so much last night was because that eighth tooth you said would be coming in soon has broken through. Can I have some Tylenol now?”
Aiden was invited to Autumn’s house for a play date today. Colin was also present and all the kids had a great time. It’s fun to play with someone else’s toys!
I enjoyed watching the kids motor around. Colin and Autumn are both pros at walking, and while Aiden is still in the learning phase, he was trying. I have had the pleasure of watching all the kids in our mommies group grow up since Aiden was 3 weeks old.
He is the youngest, but I have been able to see each one of them hit the major milestones during the first year. Every single milestone is just so amazing to me. I feel fortunate to be a part of such a great group of mommies. So as a pre-Mother’s Day soluteā¦Thank you for embracing me into your lives and I hope you enjoy being celebrated for all the hard work you do all year long!

I recently watched a new show called, “Shalom in the Home” and it was surprisingly interesting. I really didn’t know what to expect from the previews, l but was curious to see exactly what it was all about.
With all these types of reality shows, please fix my family/marriage/children, I find it interesting that every couple/family involved really believes the problem is everyone else’s fault but their own. Not only that, but they allow their problems to be broadcast for the world to see. It just amazes me.
Now, I was skeptical of what this show was going to accomplish, but I have to say it was enlightening. The rabbi, Shmuley Boteach, is a riot! I was impressed with how funny and yet poignant he was with the family. The show was entertaining and insightful for those who need a little guidance in their relationships. All in all, I won’t be watching this show religiously (pun intended), but it is worth catching at least once.
I wish everyone Shalom in their home!

I can’t believe I’m sick again! This has got to be the worst spring ever!
Since last week was such a bust I thought for sure I would be able to accomplish something this week. Silly me for thinking that. The house is going to have to wait yet another day to be cleaned. This feeling of not being able to breathe, taste or stay awake is so reminiscent of my youth…
I remember when I was younger and the teacher would ask us what exciting things we were going to do on our summer vacation. I would always say how much I hated summer because I was always stuffy and sneezy and really tired. My teachers thought I was crazy, saying I hated summer. I wasn’t aware that I had allergies and my mom kept telling me I was fine. For a while I thought I was going crazy. How sad is that, a 10 year old thinking she is going nuts.
Little did I know that it was going to plague me for the rest of my life. I really hope Aiden lucks out and doesn’t have them, or at the very least doesn’t have them as bad. Between Chris and I and our symptoms, I think he is doomed.

Today was a wash due to lovely springtime allergies. Yesterday’s outing completely threw my system into a whirlwind of sneezing, coughing and losing my voice. I swear that Aiden has allergies too as he has been super stuffy and sneezing like crazy. I think I need to check with the doctor when we go.
Chris was so good to me while we took turns being tired and lazy, oh yes and taking care of Aiden, he perked up in the evening, made dinner and took us out for a Rita’s run. He thought the water ice would soothe my ever burning throat and boy was he right!
Aiden has yet to experience water ice or even ice cream. We thought he was close enough to his first birthday that it couldn’t hurt. We purchased 2 grape gelatis and a quart of grape water ice to take home. We sat in the car on wither side of Aiden and shared our gelatis with him. I wish you could have heard him, “Yum, Mmmmm!” with every bite and every time we took a bite for ourselves he would protest with a scream. It was pretty comical.
I felt much better after my gelati and thanked Chris profusely for taking us out. He is the best guy ever! Now I’m off to bed because I just can’t keep my eyes open anymore.
