Rant Me A River
Crissy June 19th, 2006
A friend of mine has been “encouraging” me to put up some more posts. I know I have been absent for a while and realize that I might be a “seasonal” blogger. I just made that up so if you are wondering what I’m talking about, please let me explain…
When I started this blog, it was late December/early January. Aiden was not walking and napped quite a bit. I was getting bored so I decided to document his life and my thoughts in this blog. As winter wore on I, not being an avid cold weather person, stayed inside and gladly posted nearly every day. Spring came and with it the rainy season and I continued to post nearly every day. With spring came the sicknesses and my interest in doing anything dropped to zero. I didn’t want to move let alone read or write.
However, as the weather became nicer we all recovered from the illnesses and became more active outdoors. Aiden is now walking like a pro, even trying out his running skills and I am horrified to say he is getting good. Outside we go, with fewer naps to contend with, to the park to play with all his new friends. It’s getting really warm out lately and we have been setting up the sprinkler, which Aiden just loves!
What does this have to do with blogging you ask? Well, I am becoming more and more active outside and less and less active inside. I barely turn my computer on once a day. I know, I know! How could that be when I was glued to it mere months ago? The thought of sitting still makes me crazy! So, during nap time or in the evenings when I would usually tune in to see what everyone else was doing and update my blog, I am either running around the house doing something or getting ready for bed.
I will try to keep you posted more often than every two weeks. I also promise to comment at least once a week. I do love being part of this community and want to remain in your good graces. You are a wonderful group of people and I appreciate each and every one of you.
Remember my friend I mentioned earlier? She wanted to help me out by being a guest blogger to get through this dry patch. She is due at the end of July and does not have an outlet like this for herself. I thought it was very sweet of her to want to assist me and subsequently asked her if she wanted to post on a weekly basis. She excitedly agreed. So, please feel free to comment on anything she has to say, I’m sure she will enjoy the banter : )
