Not Again!

Halloween may be over, but the monster still stirs.

Aiden is teething…AGAIN! I thought he had all his teeth, he’s got twleve of them. But nooooooooo, he has to be so advanced that his 2-year molars are making their way to the gum’s surface. He’s not even 18 months yet for crying out loud!

Speaking of crying out loud, I’m not sure who is louder Aiden or me. He has had us up evey night for the past 4-5 nights around 1 am and again sometime between 4-6 am. His periods of crying have increased and we have even resorted to bringing him in our bed just to get some sleep. After an hour of on and off crying you would too! I feel like I have a newborn again, and the lack of sleep is making me super cranky.

I’m concerned about our trip to North Carolina for Thanksgiving to visit Chris’s brother and wife. Last year Aiden was just starting to teeth and was waking up every hour. I was hoping to have a more restful and enjoyable visit this year, but it doesn’t look that way.

So here I sit, bleary-eyed after class, not wanting to grade or tidy the house or even watch tv. I am just trying to fall asleep with the hopes that tonight will grant me a few more blissful hours than the last. While in the back of my mind, I am thinking, how many times will I have to get up and will I have time to take a nap with him tomorrow?

Rambling, I am just rambling now, because I am delirious without the proper amount of sleep. So much to do…so little time…so little sleep…so many teeth…zzzzzzzz.
