My oldest was playing in the Gulf of Mexico last week when we saw a crab in the water near her. After a year of swimming lessons, using floats, she all of a sudden swam with no floats! After she calmed down, she started exclaiming, "I can swim on my own!" and she was right. After that, like magic, she was swimming completely on her own and now I am the mother of a 3 year old fish.
